WINE, OLIVES& SALT
A journey through time
The scenery continually changes from hilly countryside, stonewalled pastures, green valleys, small stone-built settlements, vineyards and olive plantations, pine-trees and most of all - friendly people. Our first visit goes to “Tonina hiša” - the museum house illustrating the life of inhabitants of Istria in ancient times.
Then we continue to the “Salt pans”; 700 years old story speaks about the salt production in the area. And to round up the perfect day we finish in a proper Istrian village with its characteristic littoral houses, courtyards, stables and barns, and hospitable hosts followed by a toast with excellent wines of the region.
